As the holiday season approaches it seems one way to shine and stand out from the pack is by wearing glittery or shiny material in the form of dresses. A+ for effort also if you manage to accessorize the dress with minimal but gorgeous accessories such as vibrant cocktail rings or box-like jewel-encrusted evening clutches.

Three examples in the pictures of how to pair a glitzy dress with simple accessories for a glam and bold look: Vanessa Hudgens, Fergie and Nicole Scherzinger at the 2007 American Music Awards Show at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. I particularly like Vanessa's box-purse-clutc. It ads a nice finishing touch and ties her dress, shoes, and earrings together. Well done.
