The Story Behind Cory Kennedy

Side note before this post even begins:

a) due to the lack of notable fashion/celeb gossip today we are going to learn about an 'underground sensation' and

b) i could not pass up the chance to post a picture of Cory Kennedy and Mary-Kate Olsen in the same frame - AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING

Ok so here it goes. Maybe you have heard the name Cory Kennedy, maybe not, but chances are you have been in contact with some magazine, clothing item or trend which resembles her style. Cory is the ultimate street urchin and also has been labeled 'the heroin chick'. Her claim to fame began when she began to intern for Mark Hunter (alias The Cobrasnake) and he posted pictures of her on his website. Mark noticed a spike in traffic each time he posted pictures of her and she generated much commentary.

Cory's the kind of girl you either love or hate, love to hate, or hate to love. I personally love her. She does her own thing and does it well. Pale and thin with messy brown hair, Cory's angles are super photogenic, edgy, and controversial.

At the age of 16 (in early 2006) she visited NYC with her family on vacation and ended up doing a photo shoot for Nylon magazine which hit newsstands in June 2006.

Cory is currently still pursuing modelling and appearing in magazines. Below is one of my favorite shots of her. Remember all you fashionistas out there - you may have it in you too -pursue what you love and others will love you for what you're good at. xoxoxox Tinsley
