Costume Designer Extraordinaire

Firstly, I'd like to commend Eric Daman, costume designer of Gossip Girls for his ridiculous sense of style and mixing of different fabrics, colors, and textures to create some of the best outfits on and off the screen I have seen this year.

Today featured on peopleonline, others recognize Eric Daman's talent:

The hunt for Serena’s enviable grey suede boots is over, and it doesn’t involve forking over your savings to get them.”“Everyone loves those boots (as seen on Blake Lively), says Gossip Girl’s costume designers Eric Daman, who also worked on Sex and the City. “They’re Chinese Laundry and I got them at DSW!” These knee-high boots come in at an affordable $99 on chineselaundry.com, and even though the ash grey pair that Serena donned are sold out on the web site, you can get the style in either black or brown. Better yet, after November 25, you can get an almost identical style boot on chineselaundry.com in the same ash grey.

As the opening credits for Gossip Girls roll each week I am usually shaking in anticipation of what this week's episode will bring in terms of fashion. I have yet to be disappointed. Last night it was a toss up between Serena's 'Dan date outfit' and Jenny's 'sleepover/night on the town outfit' for winning fashion statement of the week. Both outfits had elements of grace, sophistication and current trends but Jenny's outfit stood out in terms of vibrant color (of her yellow dress) and simple, but beautiful cut (her navy blue, sequin and satin cropped party jacket) for a mix of fashion genius. Serena's outfit was perfect to show off her long and thin legs and wavy blonde hair.

Can't wait to see what's next Eric,

Tinsley

Nice clothes, but the models are what really appeal
