As Nicky Hilton revealed her new collection, Nickolai at Fashion Week in L.A. last week, there were more comments on Nicky's shrinking frame than on her collection.

While eating disorders are not cool, I think Nicky looks quite pretty in the picture to the left taken at a movie premiere a few days ago. Let's hope she gets over whatever is causing her weight loss and finds a happy medium between her weight now and last year.

Blow Over

After all of the nekkid pictures of Audrina posted everywhere online, I think it's safe to say the worst is over and by next week, (well at least after The Hills Season 3.5 premiere is over) the scandal will have completed its course and blown by.

I think Audrina handled it well, given she had months knowing these pictures were going to surface at one point. Taking ownership and moving on in a positive light was the best stance to take in my opinion.

Audrina, pictured on the left was photographed shopping at new and trendy DBMA in Hollywood wearing a very cute outfit.

America's newest sweetheart and Gossip Girl star Blake Lively keeping up appearances. She also popped up in Scottsdale, Arizona for SuperBowl festivities. What I love about this girl is whether dressed up or dressed down with little to no makeup, she always looks gorgeous. Fresh-faced is clearly the new black eyeliner.

Links of Friendship, a Celebration of Life

As MK’s name has been in the news recently for more reasons than one, I thought it was appropriate to recap the highlights of these news stories. The two pictures on the left were taken at Sundance in Utah during the past week where MK is promoting her new movie, The Wackness. Celebrity photographer, Henry Garfunkel captures MK (and many others) on Polaroid. The second picture screams hotness with MK and Colin Farrell side-by-side. Not gonna lie – these are two of my favorite celebs of all time.

Next to clarify MK’s name in association with Heath Ledger’s death. The New York Times falsely reported that Heath Ledger had been found in MK’s NYC apartment when in fact, Heath’s masseuse upon realizing Heath was non-responsive knew MK and Heath were friends and using Heath’s cell phone, speed-dialed MK. MK told the masseuse that she would call her security people in NYC who arrived at Heath’s apartment at the same time as the emergency response team.

I think many are still shaken by Heath’s death – a death of someone so young, talented and seemingly healthy. I hope many take this time to celebrate his life, his accomplishments and his daughter.

That pretty much clears up MK speculation and thoughts are with her in her celebration of The Wackness. Up next – anxiously waiting The Row, spring collection……can’t wait.

In Limbo

I always find this time of year to be one of limbo. The weather is shakey and so is fashion options. The landscape is bleak and it’s difficult to have a fresh look among so many limited options. Some spring lines are beginning to emerge in boutiques and shops, but most items are too cold to wear just yet and December 2007 items have been thrown on one too many times. With Paris Fashion Week in full swing, give it another two weeks or so and the sun will be brighter, weather warmer and clothing options broader. Until then, one suggestion: layers. Layers allow for you to pair that sleeveless top with a winter-warm sweater and cropped jacket and show off many different combinations throughout the day as layers are removed or more pieces are added. Release your cabin-fever – go crazy with fabrics and patterns. But remember, the suggestion to do so comes with a two-week deadline. I LOVE short-skirt weather and I think March is a completely appropriate month to break-out in a fringed-hippy-inspired mini…30 + days and counting….

Still Going Strong

Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port and Audrina Patridge get in some pre-New Year's Eve celebrations at LAX nightclub in L.A. Lauren's dress sure seems similar to the one she selected to wear at Area for what was supposed to be the finale episode of season 3 of The Hills. In any case I like Lauren's shorter and slightly darker hair.
